FACILITIES & SERVICES
AEROTRAIN
Aerotrain is a complimentary transportation system that shuttles passengers
between Main Terminal Building and Satellite Building. This Aerotrain
operates at three to five minutes intervals, this two-car 250-passenger
capacity train is able to move 3,000 passengers per hour per direction.
Starting on an elevated track from the Contact Pier, the Aerotrain travels
under the taxiways into the Satellite Building within two minutes.

BAGGAGE RECLAIM
There are 12 baggage conveyors identified by alphabets A to M ('I' has
been omitted). Two conveyors (L and M) are dedicated to domestic arrivals
while the remaining 10 are for international arrivals.
BANKS/FOREX
Auto Teller Machines (ATM) from Maybank, EON Bank and RHB Bank
can be found at Departure Hall, Level 5 of Main Terminal Building. There
is also an ATM from Maybank, at Satellite A.
BUSINESS CENTRES
There is a Business Centre located on the Mezzanine Level
of Sat. A. It is well equipped and provides telephone, fax, Internet,
teleconferencing facilities, postal and secretarial services. The telephone
number is 03 - 87872323. The Airside Transit Hotel (03 - 87874848) and
Pan Pacific Hotel (03 - 87873333) also have business centres for their
guests.
CHILDREN'S PLAY AREA
It is located at the Departure Level 5 of MTB.
CIP LOUNGE
Malaysia Airlines and most major airlines have dedicated lounges for
their select passengers. Common CIP lounges are available for airlines
that do not have dedicated lounges.
DINING
A variety of outlets that serve what seems like an endless
array of food from snacks, to fast food and gourmet meals are sprinkled
throughout the MTB and Sat.A. They are both in the public and passenger
areas and include outlets that serve snacks, Deli's, Fast Food and gourmet
restaurants, pubs, bars & lounges.
FACILITIES FOR DISABLED
KLIA has been developed and equipped with the needs of disabled
users in mind. Ramps and elevators, toilets and telephones and numerous
other facilities and services help ensure a smooth passage through the
airport. Airline personnel will be on hand to assist you and take care
of your needs. Do call your airline in advance to request for complimentary
ground assistance.
FEATURE DISPLAY AREA
A small area located at the Departure Level of MTB which displays
pictures and information on KLIA features and the chronology of KLIA.
FITNESS CENTRE
Few things could be better than a good workout after a long
flight. The Airside Transit Hotel at Sat. A offers a well-equipped gym
which is open to non-roomers as well. Separate shower, sauna and spa
facilities are also available for ladies and men.
HEALTH/MEDICAL SERVICES
Available at both the MTB and STB. It operates on a 24-hour
basis.
INFORMATION COUNTERS
KLIA Information Counters are located at strategic areas within
the MTB and Sat.A. Please consult the staff at these counters if you
need any information or assistance.
INFORMATION KIOSK
This easy touch-screen system combines, text, audio, video and
graphic capabilities, all of which convey a variety of information on
the airport and its functions, facilities and services. These user-friendly
systems can be found throughout the MTB and Satellite A within the departure
and arrival areas.
LEFT BAGGAGE
This service operates on a 24-hour basis at two locations
at Level 5 of the MTB. Dedicates lockers are offered and the charge
is RM 9.00 for the first day, inclusive of insurance. All luggage should
be security checked before being stored.
LOST BAGGAGE
If you have lost your luggage in the aircraft, contact the respective
ground handlers at their dedicated counters. Contact the Airport Police
at Tel:87872222 if your baggage has been lost within the airport, or
in a taxi on the way to the airport. For baggage lost in an airport
limousine, further assistance can be obtained from the Airport Limo
Service at Free Phone : 1-800-880-737.
NURSERY (BABY NAPPY CHANGE)
Located at Levels 3 and 5 of the MTB and the Passenger
Level of Satellite A, this caters to nursing mothers. It is also equipped
with necessary facilities for diaper change and other needs of infants.
PASSANGER ASSISTANCE CENTRE
Relax in cool, comfort while our staff take care of various travel needs
for you. These include meet and greet services, ticketing confirmation,
hotel and transport reservations and a host of other services. The Passenger
Assistance Centre is located at the arrival concourse (Level 3) of the
MTB.
PASSANGER PICK-UP
If you are travelling in an airport limousine, follow the directions
of the Q-system. The pick up point is by the entrance of the arrival
area of the MTB and Level 2 of Block C at the Covered Car Park. The
Shuttle Bus pick-up points are on the inner kerbside at the arrival
area. The pick-up point for express and stage buses is at the Ground
Level of Block C at the Covered Car Park while tour buses may pick their
passengers up at Ground Level of the MTB.
POST OFFICE
Situated on Level 5 of the MTB. Operating hours are from 8.30
am to 5.00 pm from Monday to Saturday.
QUIET ROOM
This facility is for non-Muslim travellers who wish to
spend some quiet time in prayer or meditation. The room is located at
the Departure Level of the MTB.
SHOPPING
There are seven main retail locations within the MTB and Sat.A. These
offer shopping delights that range from the favourite duty free buys
such as liquor, cigarettes, perfumes and souvenirs to books and magazines,
haute couture, ties and scarves, Malaysian memorabilia and much more.
SHOWER, SAUNA AND SPA
Need to refresh yourself after a long flight? Passengers on transit
may do so at the Airside Transit Hotel at Sat. A, beside Gate C3. Rates
are reasonable and separate facilities are available for ladies and
men.
SURAU (PRAYER ROOM FOR MUSLIMS)
Prayer rooms are available for Muslim visitors and passengers.
These can be found at all levels of the MTB and at the Mezzanine Level
of Satellite A. and at both Arrival and Departure Levels.
TELEVISION
Television sets have been installed throughout the airport
for your viewing pleasure. They screen an interesting variety of programmes,
ranging from news and documentaries to cartoons and special updates.
TOILETS
They are disseminated on each and every level for passengers'
convenience.
TROLLEYS
Complimentary luggage trolleys are available within the baggage
reclaim area and within the MTB. Hand luggage trolleys are available
outside arrival gates. At the Covered Car Park, trolleys can be found
at specific nests on all floors.
SMOKING AREA
SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED WITHIN THE AIRPORT. There
are however, specific areas for this purpose. Three smoking areas can
be found at the Contact Pier, MTB (near Gate A3, between Gate A4 and
Gate A6 and between Gate B4 and Gate B6) and two at Sat.A Mezzanine
Level (one beside Eva Air/ANA Lounge and another beside the SIA Lounge).
TRANSPORTATION
Buses
Express and stage buses ply various routes between KLIA
and Nilai, Kuala Lumpur, USJ, Subang and vice versa.
Limousines
This service is operated on a pre-paid coupon basis by
Airport Limo (M) Sdn. Bhd and is available 24 hours. Two levels of service
are offered, namely the Premier Service and the Budget Service. Vehicles
offered under the Premier Service are the Proton Perdana, Mercedes Benz
E220 and Multi-Purpose Vehicles (MPVs), while the Proton Wira 2.0 is
used for the Budget Service. The pre-paid coupons have to be purchased
at counters at the arrival concourse of the MTB.
Car Rental
Most major car rental companies operate counters
at the arrival concourse on a 24-hour basis. Chauffeur driven cars are
available through prior reservation with hotels. For passenger convenience,
you may return your rental car at designated car rental counters located
at the Ground Level of Block D of the Covered Car Park.
Shuttle Bus
This is a complimentary service to and from the Uncovered Car
Park. The route is plies covers the car park to the Airport Management
Centre (AMC), MTB, Pan Pacific Hotel and back to the car park. Pick-up
and drop-off points at the MTB are at both ends of the departure and
arrival areas.
Travellators
Take the strain off your feet and breeze through KLIA on
the travellators, lifts and escalators all over the airport. They make
walking distances that much shorter.
TELECOMMUNICATION
IDD and STD calls can be made from telephones located throughout the
MTB and Satellite A, using coins, credit cards or phone cards. The phone
cards come in denominations of RM 5, RM 10, RM 20 and RM 50 and can
be purchased at the Post Office, Telecoms Office and other retailers.
VIEWING GALLERY
Observe the goings-on at the airside from this special area situated
at the end of the MTB. It offers you a good view of Satellite A and
the routes of the Aerotrain, besides all the other activities at the
apron. Dine in a relaxed atmosphere at the Food Court of Formula 1 theme
restaurant here.
Public Viewing Gallery is located at Level 6 of Contact Pier adjacent
to Departure Hall of the Main Terminal Building.
The area is 850m2 and can accommodate 550 people. The areas
that can be viewed from here are:
· Apron area , Satellite Building and Track Transit System
· Cargo Complex
· Aircraft landing & take-off
· Aircraft parking stands
VISITORS SERVICE CENTRE
The Visitors Service Centre is located on the third floor of the Main
Terminal Building in the baggage reclaim area. It is headed by Tourism
Malaysia and supported by Malaysia Airports and Malaysia Airlines. The
centre is manned 24 hours a day. The Visitors Service Centre will enable
passengers to get first hand information on places to visit in Malaysia,
airport information, flight information, accommodation, transportation
and other information that can assist them during their stay in Malaysia.
