Accommodations
All 91 guest pavilions and villas offer the soothing sounds of the Andaman Sea and sensational views of sunsets beyond the beach. The generously sized guest accommodations are a fusion of traditional Malaysian design elements and contemporary resort features, with timber floors, soaring ceilings and large open verandas. Inspired by the traditions of indigenous artisans, the décor reflects the vibrancy of the natural environment. Some villas and all lower-level pavilions include secluded outdoor bathing and showers that evoke the feeling of a gentle tropical rainfall.

Pavilions Set amidst the Resort's lush foliage, Lower Melaleuca Pavilions have either one king or two twin beds, while Upper Melaleuca Pavilions, with one king bed, offer views of the Andaman Sea or tropical gardens. Lower-level suites open onto a patio and upper-level suites onto a veranda. Upper-level suites are reached by a Malay-style staircase. Bathrooms in the upper-level suites feature a skylight.

Lower Melaleuca Pavilion Located in the centre of the Resort, Lower Melaleuca Pavilions are on the ground floor of two-storey complexes set amongst landscaped tropical gardens.

Upper Melaleuca Pavilion Located in the centre of the Resort, Upper Melaleuca Pavilions are on the upper floor of two-storey complexes with spectacular views of the Andaman Sea or tropical gardens. A Malay-style staircase provides access.

Villas Beach Villas are stand-alone one-bedroom units with either one king or two twin beds and a separate living room. They have a private plunge pool and, like all of our lower-level accommodations, also feature secluded outdoor bathing and showers. Very spacious Two-Bedroom Villas have one king and two twin beds, an enlarged living area and a private lap pool. Located in seclusion on the beach, the Royal Villa is a magnificent two-bedroom residence with two king beds and many features, including its own art collection and a private swimming pool. All villas feature patios with a stunning view of the Andaman Sea and beyond. Serai - which means "lemongrass" in Malay, celebrates the sun-drenched flavours of southern Italy and the Mediterranean. The creative menu features light, classic Italian specialties, using the freshest ingredients delicately balanced with aromatic herbs and spices.
The design of the restaurant, accentuated with stone and timber, perfectly complements the beautiful backdrop of lush greenery and emerald waters of the Andaman Sea. An open-air buffet and breakfast area seats up to 48 guests, while a separate dinner area on a higher floor features a 24-seat indoor dining room and an adjacent patio which seats 60.
Specialties
At cooking stations, guests can choose eggs cooked in various styles as well as Japanese and local favourites that are offered daily. The dinner menu features innovative southern Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.

Ikan-Ikan - Set in the style of a "limas", the traditional Malaysian residence, Ikan-Ikan exudes an enviable charm. Meaning "fish" in Malay, Ikan-Ikan has a fish-scale-tiled roof. Its teak wood deck offers spectacular ocean views unrivalled in Asia.
Ikan-Ikan is divided into four main seating areas, each offering spectacular views of the Andaman Sea. The largest is an 50-seat open-air teak deck with a two-storey Malay terra cotta roof. Steps down from this is a palm-shaded cocktail and lounging area offering a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Two pavilions, one on each side of Ikan-Ikan, accommodate a bar with cocktail seating for 18 on one side, and a private dining room for 16 on the other.

Kafe Kelapa - Set amongst natural surroundings within sound of the sea, the poolside Kafe Kelapa features a full-service bar offering a wide range of tropical and international cocktails. A favourite drink is the famed young coconut iced water known locally as "kelapa". Guests savour unobstructed views along with their drinks and food. The traditional thatched roof - and a coconut chandelier -complete the tropical ambience. Seats 46.
Specialties
Western cuisine is featured, with an appealing range of appetisers and main courses including sandwiches, salads, and pizzas made in a wood-burning oven. Grilled seafood and meats are a specialty, and Asian stir-fries provide a taste of the local cuisine.

Rhu Bar - The Rhu Bar cultivates a rich Middle Eastern ambience. Amidst hanging fabrics, guests lounge on wicker sofas piled high with coloured cushions, while enjoying views of clear blue waters and beyond. Turkish water pipes, Indian Mogul hanging swings and a pool table complete the picture. Rhu Bar offers a selection of meze as snacks, and an evening beverage list featuring house special tropical cocktails, old favourites, international beers and an extensive wine list.
