 | Gargamel | | I stayed in the rooms (not the chalet). The minute I saw the room, I wanted to turn back. The room, sheets and pillows are clean, but the blanket was a bit thin. There was only one very dim lightbulb in the room. No tv, and nothing to do all night. Sitting outside was too cold. Nothing to do, nothing to see, nowhere to go after dark. Only the restaurant. At least the food is good (if a bit pricey), but after they close, there is no other place to hang out.
The bathroom was gross. The toilet didn't work. The shower was falling apart, but we discovered there was hot water after all. The 'on' button had fallen out, and you had to stick your finger into the heater unit to turn it on. The water from the bathroom runs out to the land outside. If you go out the back closet/room and look out the window, you can see the beautiful view, and your lovely bathwater splashing down to the drain below.
G. Jerai is okay for a day trip, but don't bother staying overnight at this disgusting place. There are no other facilities here.
