 | hadirc | | Just wanna share with you guys. I was there last weekend (19/12/09 - 20/12/09) and it was a bad experience. We're were given our key cards at about 2:30pm and we went to our room only to find out it is not cleaned. It was filthy. Upon seeing the housekeeping staff was at the room next to mine, I thought to give them time and to take a walk at the lobby. The elevators at block S1 (the block I'm staying) was not labeled properly and and resulted in me getting off the wrong floor. When I looked around I found out that I am one floor down so I decided to take the stairs up one floor. This is when the disaster happened. As I was WALKING up the stairs I slipped and fell down. The stairs was built properly and was confirmed when the Housekeeping Manager told me they already lodged a complaint with the developer. If they knew of such defect why didn't they close the staircase to avoid the public to use it? I injured myself quite badly (chest, thigh and shin). To my suprise, this resort doesn't have their own resident medical officer. For your information. there is only one private clinic and one Klinik Kesihatan in the vicinity of the resort. Even that will take a 15 minutes drive. It is very dangerous if there is any medical emergency. I was only taken to the Klinik Kesihatan and was briefly checked by a Medical Assistant. There was no doctor present.
When I got back to the resort at around 4:45pm I went to my room and to my shock it was still not ready. Me and my family had to wait outside the room for 30 minuted or more.
When we were having our dinner we got a call from a staff of the resort. They wanted to see us regarding my fall. After our dinner we went up to the lobby to meet with them. To my suprise they just sent us their "Housekeeping Manager". What does the Housekeeping Manager got to do with this? I asked her to call for her Resident Manager (Mr Shahrul) but she said he is engaged with someone. This was at about 9:00pm. I told her I would like to meet Mr Shahrul and she said she would let us know when he is available. She called about 30 minutes later saying that Mr Shahrul could see us at 11:00pm at the lobby. Do they expect me who is injured to wait for him? Who is the customer/guest? Me or him? They don't seem to see my case as an important matter. Maybe guests getting injured at their premise is so normal and they are so used to it.
I just want to advise whoever is reading this, if you're thinking of going there think twice. Better off going to places where it is safe. This resort is NOT SAFE.

| ALee | | I just back from BGRC but I did not stay at the resort, I will comment on the water park. For the parking if it is weekend or school holiday you can't imagine that you have to park very far. Secondly to queuing up to purchase ticket it takes long time during peak season and also the e-cash value, it is very trouble when you reload each of the family member, I'm suggest that reload to one family member and share the e-cash value. Thirdly too little of resting area for family (Not include the restaurant). Overall the water park area still got more room for improvement. Finally Please allow us to bring in light food (e.g. sandwiches) or in the website please stated that no outside food allow in the water park area, i saw many people already bring the food over and need to temp keep their stuff at the entrance place.

| sam_yati | | On 27th Nov, I check in at the hotel around late afternoon. On late night, my father had a breathing problem in the room where need attention by doctor. But unfortunately, there's no panel doctor cause its a holiday. We managed to get help from hotel staff to get my father to a nearby clinic @ Gambang. Unfortunately, my father pass away. We are so loss on what to do to bring back my father body back to SIN. There it was, an 04 angel from the Hotel staff that render help to us till we depart to SIN the next day & have to check out early in morning. Appreciation to these 04 staff that come from heaven to save us on all matters that we dont even know much coz in other country. 2 thumbs up to (ZUL, FARHAN, SHAHRUL & 01 security that i cant remember the name). If not because of them, my father body will not depart from Malaysia(Kuantan) peacefully. Once again a million thanks to these staff of BGRC hotel.

| | 2009-11-23 09:46:31 | Jean Goh | | 1) Incompetent front office staff. Took too long to check-in, too long to chek-out while waiting for the RM50 deposit refund.
2) Lousy food; poor buffet dinner.
3) TV only access to one channel ie TV3 only.
4) The only good point: Security team proactive, helpful and friendly.

| | 2009-09-07 18:43:04 | Caroline58 | | My husband and I had just made an on-site visit to Bukit Gambang Resort City and I am quite impressed with the overall resort, especially the room rates. We were shown the rooms and the facilities and we have to admit, they are spacious and looks comfortable. Even though there are still some construction going on, the place seem good for occupancy. We tried to make reservations during the Hari Raya period, but unfortunately it's fully booked. Seems like it's gonna be a busy and popular resort soon, so better make reservations early.

| zana232 | | I was lucky to read the guest reviews 2 weeks earlier before my vacation date.. in fact, i did called the cuti management office to reconfirm the resort grand opening ceremony and operational date..finally i was dissappointed coz it turn out to be just a bad hope.. the resort management did called me telling me that they will be sending vouchers as a token of appreciation but then till today i haven't receive anything from them! Forget it... there are lots of other interesting places, hotels and resort for us to enjoy our vacation.. I'll think more than 1000 times again about staying here in future.

| jimmykkh | | I was so.....surprise to see the bad response of the resort. I too had wanted to bring my family there in June'09 but due to the last minute decision, I wasnt able to book the hotel but actually drove to the resort on 6th June 2009. On arrival I was told that the water pump was not working and was given 6 free water park tickets valid til Dec'09.
I wasnt allowed into the resort as I do not have any reservation, eventhough I had wanted to view the resort and if there was room available would have stayed the night there. Now I know why I wasnt allowed in becos..its only 60% ready!! I had wanted to book for the coming holidays in Aug'09, but looks like it will take a while before the resort is ready. I do agree with the other comments that ...Never judge a book by its cover!!!

| hanaredzuan | | have you all heard of the proverb "never judge a book by its covers"? its applies here! they site looks very promising hence i booked for the stay of 12/6 - 14/6 just to get a call from them 3 days before we leave to say that they had to cancel due to the theme park is not fully open...but why tell us 3 days before since i've made arrangements 2 weeks prior?
And i had a friend who had a family day there...its actually not even 50% ready! how can you promote a place which is not ready & functional???
I got a complimentary stay for this and it stated that i have to use it before 31st December 2009, but how sure are you that the place will be ready by then?

| luv vacation | | Agree with azman7368.
Its same happened to my family. We suppose to check in on 7th June but so frusfrated when we have to be 'Joe in The Jungle' on that day. They let us stay in the scary jungle which under construction ??We heard about the under construction story a week before but we had called Sentoria ( Management for the place ) to double confirm and they so proud announced that the place already opened and only 3 water games still under construction, the rest are available for the guest. **** them...
Luckily we got a better place to spent a night at Cherating Beach Hotel before went back to KL on the other day.
Actually I plan to buy a house there for a vacation home but now I am not interested anymore. I also want to cancel my booking to this horrible place on next September because I believed this place is still remain the same for the next 3 months.
For CUTI, pls make sure you advertised a place where its exist only.. for your better reputation..

I hv booked the resort on 8th June but i received a call from the resort on 7th June 6pm evening and told me they will cancel my booking due to no power supply.
I m so angry how come they informed me very very last minutes until mess-out my holiday plan for my children. They r so excited to waiting for the water park there. They r so disappointed, i hv changed my plan to Desa water park , at least i keep the promise with them.
No more Bukit Gambang Resort City........Scaryyyyyyyy.

| azman7368 | | After 3hrs on the road from KL my family hope went up in smoke yesterday 6th June the minute I reached there. The facilities were closed and the sign board said utilities (water) problem but the real fact is to me the place is not ready yet and unfit to be opened. Everything is still under construction including the roads, apartments and waterpark itself and I dont see it will be ready anytime soon at all. The sick part about this whole episode why nobody informed us (all of the customers stranded there) in advance. If really emergency I can understand but they know the place will not be ready anytime soon. To cover it up the resort gave me a 3D2N free stay valid until year end which to me means nothing coz I've wasted money (petrol, toll) and time. To me the ads about this resort being ready is deceiving and CUTI should remove this hotel from the site to avoid other customers being duped!! With all the frustration and loss of money I still have to wait for my money to be refunded!! My advice to you all, dont part with your money first until its really ready or you've checked it out.
