 | hahaha | | The buffet @ Laban Rata Hut is good n yummy.
However the facilities n overall condition in Gunting Lagadan Hut is really bad. At nite time, it's really cold, no heating facilities nor hot water and there r rats running around in the kitchen. I wish more info on weather can be posted n updated frequently, it's really disappointing that we can't get to the peak due to the bad weather condition.

| antz2205 | | It was my first time climb Mount Kinabalu and i stayed at Laban Rata Resthouse with 2 guy friends (one of them is my husband now). The place is good for a person who can't stand cold and need to eat a lot at proper restaurant. It is a place where you can meet foreigner. Almost all of them staying at Laban Rata Resthouse.
My second time climbing was on last January 2007 with 6 friends & my fiance. We stayed at Gunting Lagadan because other places where fully booked. I asked the Hotel myself about the condition of the place first and i think all of us had prepared for the cold weather by bringing appropriate sleeping bag, jacket, wool socks, leather glove & wool hat. Another tip, just hug your partner and you will feel warm for the entire night. I am looking forward for my third climbing this November or next January. Travel to Sabah would be my annual activity. There's a lot of places there that i need to explore.

| zuekechik | | Used to go there with my friends, climbing the Mt. Kinabalu. We rent the Panar Laban Hut and Gunting Lagadan. I stay at the Gunting Lagadan's hut. It so cold up there. My fiance who used to climb up for 5 times told me that they provide a sleeping bag, but instead they provide us a thin 'selimut'. Can't sleep, but overall, the places is ok. The guide is helpful, though is not so friendly, and non-motivated person. Will come back this march. but i think i wanted to rent the Laban Rata Hut. Can't stand the cold at gunting lagadan.
